The Greatest Tom Cruise Movies Throughout The Years
When discussing accomplished actors that dominate the box office, one person you have to mention is Tom Cruise. The man is a Hollywood icon and in recent years has managed to revamp his reputation and career.
This article will highlight what I believe to be the best films that Tom Cruise has starred in.
One movie that certainly makes the list of Tom Cruise movies for me is Risky Business. This is one of the iconic high school films of the 1980s, even if doesn’t take place within the school, per se.
Another movie which I will mention is Interview With The Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles. Long before the world became fascinated with Vampires (ahem, Twilight and True Blood), Tom Cruise starred in this awesome film. This movie also stars Brad Pitt and Christian Slater.
One film which I feel deserves to be mentioned is A Few Good Men. One interesting fact about this crime thriller is that writer Aaron Sorkin wrote the whole screenplay on napkins while he was working at a theater as a low level employee. Suffice it to say that this film was his big break.
One other great film of Tom Cruise’s is also an iconic film, and that is none other than Top Gun. This was good as early 1990s action got. Everything from the flight scenes to the dialogue is great in this movie.
Another movie that I would like to mention is the Steven Spielberg directed Minority Report. This movie takes place in a futuristic world where crime does not exist due to technology that allows police officers to see into the future and prevent crimes before they happen.
One movie of Tom Cruise’s that I have yet to see, but have only heard amazing things about, is Magnolia. I don’t doubt that this movie is amazing, considering the great Paul Thomas Anderson directed it, and it is without a doubt the next film of his that I need to see.
